Welcome to Flix's Home on the Web
Whether you are joining us at Loughborough in October (congratulations on your results) or returning to Loughborough after the holidays or a placement year, you should be pleasantly surprised by the Flix facilities. Gone are the days in the Students Union with the plastic chairs, as Flix has moved in to the Cope Auditorium with plush cushioned tiered seating, superior surround sound, and 30 foot screen.
Flix is run for and by students, showing films every Sunday and occasionally other days for special events. Admission to the showings starts at only £1.50 for members of the society, and £2.50 for non-members. Membership is open to all Loughborough University and Loughborough College students and costs only £8.
All Flix members are entitled to free professional projectionist training and the opportunity to run the society through the wide range of committee positions including treasurer, publicity, multimedia, chairperson.
So whether you just want to watch films or get experience that looks good on your CV, Flix offers something for everyone.
